The Cave Without A Name is considered by many one of the most beautiful caves in Texas. Located about 12 miles north of Boerne, in the karst of the Texas Hill Country, Cave Without A Name offers visitors six major rooms to explore.
Cave Without A Name is a living cave, which means its geological formations are still growing. Among those formations are stalagmites, stalactites, soda straws, cave drapery, flowstones and rimstone dams.
The cave temperature measures 66F yearround. The interior is well-lit with easy walkways, but it's always a good idea to wear rubber-soled (or other gripping) shoes on a cave tour. Tours last about 60 minutes and depart throughout the day; cameras and video cameras are welcome.
The Cave Without A Name is open daily. Summer hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day) are 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; winter hours 10 a.m.-5 p.m. There is an admission fee.
