About the H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum of Texas:
The Hearts veterans Museum of Texas is located inside the West Hill Mall in Hunstville. And the museum is sometimes called the Hearts Museum, "hearts" standing for "helping every American remember through serving."
The mission statement of the Hearts Veterans Museum of Texas is "to honor and recognize the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. The hands-on, educational museum provides space for the preservation of military memorabilia, artifacts and the history of past wars in effort to honor America’s veterans and educate generations to come."
The museum features more than 5,000 square feet filled with military memorabilia such as war artifacts, personal effects, and love letters from soldiers and mailed back home.
The Hearts Veterans Museum of Texas is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. There is no admission charge.
