Austin - Old Settler's Music Festival
Held in mid-April at The Salt Lick Pavilion in Camp Ben McCulloch, this is Central Texas' signature music event featuring Grammy-winning Americana music, arts and crafts, camping, food concessions and libations. Acoustic, jazz and blues, bluegrass, old-time, local favorites and award-winning artists from around the world. Family friendly, Old Settler's encourages children and adults to appreciate and preserve American roots music by providing workshops, displays and activities. Additional children's activities include a new talent competition, armadillo races, petting zoo, slide, moonwalk, stilt-walking, doll-making, face painting and more. Camp Ben McCulloch is an enormous campground perfect for RV (electrical and water) or primitive camping. Bring an instrument, a lawn chair, a tent, sunglasses and enjoy the most tantalizing and exciting music the planet has to offer. Show times vary each day. Dayton - Ole Time Days Festival
A 3-day festival in early to mid-month, the Dayton Ole Time Days Festival features a barbecue cookoff, street dance, arts and crafts, car show and even goat dressing.

Hallettsville - Texas State Championship Fiddlers' Frolic

Houston - Houston International Festival

Poteet - Strawberry Festival
The Poteet Strawberry Festival is one of the largest and most popular festivals in Texas and the Southwest. On a 100-acre site in Poteet (south of San Antonio) in early April, festivalgoers will get to sample the famous Poteet strawberry harvest and tons of other foods; concerts from nationally known country and Tejano stars; rodeo events; and fun and games for families and children.

Port Aransas - Texas SandFest Competition
These ain't your father's sand castles. See talented artists build amazing sand sculptures, and enjoy the games, arts & crafts, food booths, live music and photo contest.

San Antonio - Fiesta San Antonio
The biggest party in Texas and one of the great festivals in America, Fiesta is 10 days of food, parades, music, fairs and family fun.

Taylor - Cot'n Pik'n Festival
A 1-day festival with food and arts and crafts booths, entertainment, antique car show and even an antique tractor show. Presented by Taylor's Main Street program.

Temple - Bloomin' Temple Festival
First held in 2006 to celebrate the 125th birthday of the city, Temple's Bloomin' Temple Festival is a 3-day event in early April. Festival activities and events include a carnival, arts and crafts, a car show, fine art vendors and plenty of food and drink. Nationally known entertainers take to the stage on the Saturday night of the festival. The Bloomin' Temple Festival is free to attend.

Turkey - Bob Wills Day
Celebrating the music of this country music and bluegrass pioneer. Last Saturday of the month.

Waxahachie - Scarborough Faire
