About Tyrell Park:
Tyrell Park is a 500-acre city park with a wide variety of attractions for people of varied interests.
Among its offerings are the Henry Homberg Golf Course, along with a disc golf course; a large football/soccer playing field, softball/baseball areas and basketball courts. The Beaumont Botanical Gardens are located inside Tyrell Park, as is a 1-mile nature trail.
There is also a 1.8-mile equestrian trail. But don't worry, you don't have to bring your own horse. The park has stables, a corral and 14 horses.
Among other points of interest in Tyrell Park is Cattail Marsh, an 8-acre manmade wetlands area that connects on one side to a natural wetlands. Both are great spots for bird watching.
